SSP said that during the preliminary investigation, it has emerged that this heroin consignment was arranged from Pakistan via a drone. We are actively working on tracing both the backwards and forward linkages, as this tip-off was received in the earlier case registered at Ghall Khurd police station. This is a significant achievement on the part of the Ferozepur police teams, he added.
Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the drug-smuggling networks in the region. The police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating the drug menace and ensuring community safety, said SSP.
