3 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC conducts mock drill across 10 Institutions to boost disaster preparedness

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 31, 2025: In a major initiative to enhance disaster preparedness and response skills among youth, the 3 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC (3 PBGBN) Ludhiana conducted a comprehensive mock drill across 10 educational institutions under its jurisdiction.
The exercise was organized in response to the recent Pahalgam attack, simulating preparedness for a potential counter-attack situation.
The drill brought together the Commanding Officer (CO), PI staff, Girl Cadet Instructors (GCI), Associate NCC Officers (ANO), cadets, and students to collectively learn and implement emergency protocols for both natural and man-made disasters.
The training was delivered through multiple engaging formats, including PowerPoint presentations, banners, live demonstrations, instructional videos, and informative charts.
These tools offered a clear, practical understanding of the correct steps to take during emergency scenarios, helping to instill a culture of readiness among theyouth.Unit staff visited the participating schools and colleges, supervised the drills, and actively interacted with students to encourage participation and discipline.
Their involvement served as a motivating force for cadets, underlining the significance of preparation and leadership in times of crisis.
The initiative received an overwhelming response, with enthusiastic participation from all 10 institutions, reflecting the growing awareness and commitment of students towards national security and civic responsibility.
