Governor Releases Pictorial Brochure on Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib

Chandigarh, June 11, 2025 – Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria today released a pictorial brochure titled “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib” at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh. The brochure, authored by Punjab State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu, serves as a visual tribute to the life and legacy of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
The event was graced by the presence of Padma Shri Bhai Harjinder Singh Srinagar Wale, who joined in paying homage to the Guru’s enduring spiritual and humanitarian message. The brochure captures historical shrines across India where Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib is believed to have visited, leaving behind a legacy rooted in sacrifice, peace, and human rights.
Dedicated to the ongoing 405th birth anniversary and the forthcoming 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the pictorial compilation highlights the Guru’s teachings of universal brotherhood, protection of religious freedom, and commitment to social justice.
Governor Kataria lauded Harpreet Sandhu’s efforts, describing the publication as a noble contribution that brings to light the spiritual journey and ideals of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. “This work encapsulates the life and values of the Ninth Sikh Guru and serves as a meaningful resource for society,” the Governor said.
Padma Shri Bhai Harjinder Singh Srinagar Wale also praised the initiative, calling the brochure a heartfelt tribute to “Hind Di Chadar” Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. He emphasized the Guru’s pivotal role in defending religious freedom and upholding human dignity through supreme sacrifice.
The publication is being seen as a timely and respectful offering ahead of the 350th Martyrdom Day, inspiring readers to reflect on the timeless principles Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib stood for.
