Chandigarh, July 17, 2025 –
Haryana Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh has directed officials of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) to function in alignment with the corporation's core mandate of developing modern industrial infrastructure in the state.
Chairing a review meeting with HSIIDC officials, Rao Narbir Singh emphasized that the corporation must intensify efforts to fulfill its primary goal. He said that under the Haryana Land Partnership Policy–2022, rural residents and farmers should be informed that HSIIDC will develop 50% of the land provided by them and make them stakeholders in the projects. He called for a comprehensive awareness campaign, to be executed with the support of professional agencies, to help people understand the corporation’s functioning and benefits.
The Minister highlighted that Gurugram has become the top destination for global companies, spurring rapid industrial growth in Sohna, Manesar, and Bawal. He proposed the establishment of a convention centre near the Dwarka Expressway and asked HSIIDC to identify suitable land owned by the Municipal Corporation in Sector 65, New Gurugram. He suggested that the foundation stone of the project be laid on November 1, coinciding with Haryana Day.
To improve hospitality infrastructure, he directed that modern guest houses with advanced facilities be constructed in each Industrial Model Township (IMT) to accommodate industry representatives and visitors.
As part of the Green Haryana initiative, Rao Narbir Singh instructed that maximum green belts be developed across all industrial estates under HSIIDC. He also ordered that tiles not be laid along footpaths adjacent to green belts to ensure natural water percolation.
Referring to the strategic importance of the 135-km-long Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway, the Minister called for a special maintenance and beautification plan. He directed officials to carry out a large-scale plantation drive on both sides of the expressway and install solar-powered pumps at intervals of 5 to 10 km to maintain irrigation post-rainfall.
He also noted that the section of the KMP Expressway from Manesar to Palwal requires urgent repairs and instructed that the tendering process for the same be initiated without delay.
