GNDU Alumnus Jaspreet Singh appointed to New Jersey Transition Council, becomes only Sikh in incoming administration

Amritsar (Punjab), November 28, 2025 – Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has announced a proud milestone as its distinguished alumnus and Professor of Eminence, Jaspreet Singh, Attorney (USA), has been appointed to the Transition Advisory Council of the U.S. state of New Jersey.
He is the only Sikh and Punjabi to be selected for the core advisory team of the incoming administration.
The Transition Advisory Council has been formed by New Jersey Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill to shape key governance priorities, policy directions, and administrative planning as she prepares to take office. Jaspreet Singh’s inclusion reflects strong recognition of his professional accomplishments, dedication to public service, and impactful leadership within the U.S.
New Jersey is home to several world-renowned academic institutions, including Princeton University, historically associated with Albert Einstein. The elevation of a GNDU alumnus to such a high-level policy body highlights the global influence and excellence of GNDU graduates.
Congratulating him on this remarkable achievement, Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor of GNDU, said:
