Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has strongly refuted allegations levelled by AAP MLA from Sangrur, Narinder Bharaj, who claimed that she was offered to join the BJP.
Responding to the charge, Saini dismissed the allegation outright and questioned the very basis of the claim. “Kaun Bharaj? Mujhe toh uska naam bhi nahin pata,” he remarked, rejecting the accusation. (Who is Bharaj? I don’t even know her name.)
Saini termed the allegations as politically motivated and baseless, stating that such statements are being made to gain media attention. He said the BJP does not indulge in such practices and focuses on its organizational strength and public support.
The controversy erupted after AAP MLA Narinder Bharaj alleged that she had been approached with an offer to switch sides and join the BJP. The Aam Aadmi Party has sought clarification and accused the BJP of attempting to destabilize opposition ranks.
However, BJP leaders have denied the claims, calling them fabricated and politically driven.
The exchange has added fresh heat to the ongoing political tussle between the BJP and AAP ahead of upcoming political developments in the region.
