Chandigarh, March 21, 2026– A delegation of the Indian Minorities Federation (IMF) led by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and IMF Convenor Satnam Singh Sandhu joined the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Eidgah in Manimajra with members of Muslim community who had gathered in large numbers on the occasion to offer special namaz and prayers on this festival marking the conclusion of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, also known as Ramzan.
Participating in Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Eidgah in Manimajra to spread the message of brotherhood and communal harmony, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu joined special dua (prayer) on the occasion for world peace in view of the on-going conflicts at the global level and the progress and prosperity of the country, stressing the urgent need to promote harmony, universal brotherhood, unity and mutual understanding and global peace among people worldwide amid ongoing wars and rising global conflict in West Asia.
These prayers conveyed a strong collective message of unity and peaceful co-existence in the country and world.
Extending his greetings by hugging members of the Muslim community and sharing sweets, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “Eid Mubarak to all countrymen, particularly my Muslim brothers and sisters on this joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. which marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the Holy month of Ramzan. I pray this Eid bring happiness, peace and prosperity for everyone. May these Eid celebrations reinforce the nation’s commitment to mutual goodwill and inspire each one of us to follow the path of love and universal brotherhood”.
On the occasion, members of Muslim community said India has always championed the cause of peace and has consistently conveyed the message of harmony. They said Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has always expressed India’s readiness to resolve on-going conflicts through dialogues and diplomacy.
Muslim community members said PM Modi has always emphasised the critical importance of global peace in securing a brighter future for humanity. They said PM Modi has used the strength of India’s heritage to tell the world that the future does not lie in war and shown the way for peace by stating that world can find solution not in war and this is not an era of war.
Advocating dialogue and diplomacy particularly in conflict regions like West Asia, members of Muslim community said at a time when the world appears to be on the brink of a larger crisis, decisive and peace-oriented leadership of PM Modi can restore stability and usher in a new era of global peace, progress and prosperity for all.
They said by under PM Modi’s leadership, India not neutral but on side of peace. They said PM Modi has always made the case for world peace with his stand that the solutions to war cannot be found on the battlefield but at the table.
On the occasion, members of Muslim community hailed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for providing humanitarian aid to Iranians affected by the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and United States.
