BREAKING: FIR Registered Against Unidentified Persons for Writing ‘Traitor’ Outside Rajinder Gupta’s Residence

Chandigarh, April 26, 2026:
Following an unfortunate incident at the residence of Trident Group Chairman and Rajya Sabha Member Rajinder Gupta, the Chandigarh police have swung into action. A criminal case has been registered against unidentified persons at Sector-3 Police Station in Chandigarh.
A few days ago, some unknown individuals had written the word “traitor” on the walls outside Rajinder Gupta’s residence.
Police have registered a case under Section 3 of the Property Defacement Act along with other relevant provisions. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed around the residence to identify the accused. Security arrangements outside the house have also been strengthened following the incident.
Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has condemned the incident, calling it an attempt to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Punjab and Chandigarh and describing it as “dirty politics.”
