Chandigarh administration revises DC rates; Check new rates here

Chandigarh, May 12, 2026: The Chandigarh Administration has revised the Deputy Commissioner (DC) rates for the financial year 2026-27, bringing an increase in minimum wages for various categories of contractual and contingency-paid employees working across departments in Chandigarh.
According to the notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, the revised rates will be applicable from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.

The revised wage structure covers a wide range of posts, including attendants, chowkidars, peons, mali, safai karamcharis, laboratory attendants, technicians, drivers, clerks, electricians, computer operators, receptionists and healthcare support staff.
As per the revised notification, several entry-level and support staff categories that were earlier receiving Rs 22,680 per month during 2025-26 will now get Rs 24,494 per month in 2026-27.
Similarly, wages for skilled and technical staff have also been increased. Employees in categories such as clerks, conductors, data entry operators and cashiers will now receive revised monthly wages of Rs 32,701, while several technician and skilled worker categories have also seen hikes under the new schedule.
The administration stated that the revised rates have been fixed under the provisions governing payment of wages out of contingencies for various departments functioning in Chandigarh district.
The updated DC rates notification includes revised salary slabs for hundreds of categories of workers employed across government offices and institutions in Chandigarh.
