“If Mann Is an ISI Agent, Why No Action?” Raja Warring questions Union Minister Bittu

Chandigarh, May 20, 2026 — Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Tuesday questioned Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu over his remarks allegedly calling Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann an “ISI agent”.
Reacting sharply to the statement, Warring said that if Bittu genuinely had any information linking Mann to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, then the Central Government should immediately initiate an inquiry and take action.
“Why don’t you ask the Union Home Minister to order an investigation if you have evidence that Bhagwant Mann is an ISI agent?” Warring asked, while also accusing BJP and AAP leaders of indulging in “friendly matches” for political attention.
The Congress leader reiterated his allegation that there was a tacit understanding between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party, claiming both parties were making sensational statements to divert public attention from governance failures.
Warring pointed out that earlier Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had accused the BJP of being linked to bomb blasts in Punjab, but no concrete action or investigation followed those allegations either.
“Even then, Congress had asked Bhagwant Mann why no action was taken if he had information about BJP’s involvement in the blasts. Nothing happened afterward,” Warring remarked.
He alleged that such serious accusations — whether made by AAP against BJP or by BJP leaders against Mann — were being used as political tools rather than being backed by official investigations.
According to Warring, both the BJP-led Central Government and the AAP-led Punjab Government were attempting to shield each other from criticism over their respective failures by engaging in political rhetoric and counter-allegations.
He said national security and public safety issues should not be reduced to political drama without evidence or legal follow-up.
