Big Breaking: BJP announces 11 Rajya Sabha candidates; Tarun Chugh among key names

New Delhi, June 4,2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released another important list of candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections 2026, fielding senior leaders from multiple states in a strategically significant move.
The party leadership has named prominent leaders across states, with BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh emerging as one of the key names in the latest announcement. His nomination from Madhya Pradesh is being seen as a major organisational elevation.
State-wise list of BJP Rajya Sabha candidates:
From Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has nominated Tarun Chugh and Rajneesh Agrawal.
From Gujarat, Rajubhai Shukla, Mukeshbhai Rathwa, and Mansingh Parmar have been fielded.
From Rajasthan, former state BJP president Satish Poonia and Alka Gurjar have been named as candidates.
From Arunachal Pradesh, the party has placed trust in Tai Tagak.
From Manipur, senior BJP leader A. Sharda Devi has been nominated.
The party has also announced a candidate for a Rajya Sabha by-election in Odisha, naming Debashish Samantaray as its official nominee.
The BJP’s latest list is being viewed as a carefully balanced exercise, reflecting regional representation and organisational considerations ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. Party sources said the remaining nominations will be finalised after further internal deliberations.
