Two women among 6 booked for honey trap, blackmail and extortion
Ferozepur, June 19, 2026: In a sensational case of alleged honey trap, blackmail and extortion, Sadar Ferozepur police have registered a case against six persons, including two women, for allegedly trapping a young man, threatening him with a pistol and extorting lakhs of rupees from him.
The case was registered on the complaint of Lavdeep Singh, son of Harbans Singh, a resident of Gulabe Wala village in Sri Muktsar Sahib district. Police have booked the accused under sections 308(3), 318(4), 61(2), 351(3) and 127(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
According to police, he came in contact with Ravneet Kaur, daughter of Shaminder Singh and a resident of his village. He alleged that Ravneet befriended him and later brought him to her maternal aunt’s house at Basti Nizamdin Wali in Ferozepur on May 14, 2026, on the pretext of some work.
Lavdeep alleged that when he entered the house, several people were already present as part of a planned conspiracy. The accused included Ravneet’s aunt Amandeep Kaur, wife of Danish, her friend Pooja, daughter of Sona, along with three men — Danish, son of Piara, Gurpreet Singh of Ichhe Wala village, and Lakhi alias Lucky, son of Gina, a resident of Dulchi Ke village.
He alleged that the accused pointed a pistol at him, assaulted him, forcibly removed his clothes and recorded an objectionable video on his mobile phone. Later, they allegedly threatened to upload the video on social media and defame him if he failed to pay money.
According to the complaint, the accused demanded ₹5 lakh from him, following which he transferred ₹3 lakh from his bank account to their account. After receiving the money, they allegedly allowed him to leave.
Lavdeep further alleged that the accused continued to threaten him and demanded more money. Acting on his complaint, two accused, Danish and Amandeep Kaur have been arrested and remaining four are yet to be arrested. Meanwhile, the police registered a case against all six accused and initiated further investigation.
