SIR-2026 camps held across Ferozepur to collect and digitize Voter Enumeration Forms
Ferozepur, July 19, 2026: Under the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, special camps were organised at all polling stations across Ferozepur district on Sunday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral rolls. During the camps, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) collected and digitized voter enumeration forms.
Sharing this information, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur, Deepshikha Sharma, said the camps were held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at all polling stations. BLOs remained present throughout the camps to receive enumeration forms from eligible voters and simultaneously digitize the forms that had already been submitted.
She said the forms collected at polling stations are being digitized immediately, while efforts are also continuing to collect the remaining forms. At polling booths where progress has been comparatively slow, the collection and digitization of forms are being carried out simultaneously to ensure timely completion of the exercise.
Deputy Commissioner further informed that the house-to-house enumeration phase under the Special Intensive Revision-2026 will continue until August 3, 2026.
To ensure the success of the special camps, staff from various departments, including schools, the Revenue Department, Anganwadi workers, employees of municipal councils in urban areas, and ALMTs, DLMTs, and BLO Supervisors, were deployed to assist in maximizing the collection and digitization of enumeration forms within the stipulated time.
