Clean drinking water facilities ensured at railway stations across Ferozepur Rail Division
Ferozepur, September 23, 2026: Ferozepur Rail Division is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2, 2026, through a series of cleanliness-related activities, with special emphasis on ensuring the availability of clean and safe drinking water for passengers at railway stations.
As part of the campaign, regular inspections of water sources, filter plants and water booths are being carried out at various railway stations across the division to ensure the quality of drinking water being provided to passengers. Special attention is also being given to the cleanliness and hygiene of drinking water points.
Thorough inspection and cleaning of water booths are being ensured at various stations, including Jalandhar City, Jalandhar Cantt, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Ferozepur Cantt, Phagwara, Beas, Fazilka and Moga.
Passengers are also being sensitised about the importance of water conservation through the public announcement system at railway stations, with the message of “Save Water” being regularly disseminated.
The Railway Administration said that necessary measures are being taken continuously during Swachhta Pakhwada to provide passengers with a clean environment as well as clean and safe drinking water at railway stations.
