Mohali (Punjab), September 23, 2026: As many as 1,342 students of Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering (BE-CSE) and BE-CSE programmes with specialised tracks offered by Chandigarh University in collaboration with leading technology companies were awarded their degrees during the annual convocation for the Undergraduate CSE Engineering students of the 2025-26 batch at a grand ceremony organised at the Chandigarh University campus.
Manoj Dobhal, CEO, Dish TV India Ltd, Pramod Marar, MD & CEO, Satin Finserv Limited who presided over the event as Chief Guests along with Prof. (Dr.) S S Sehgal Vice Chancellor, Chandigarh University along with senior leadership of Chandigarh University awarded degrees to the graduating students.
Addressing gathering of students on the occasion, Manoj Dobhal, CEO, Dish TV India Ltd said, “India today is at a stage where the opportunity is not merely to consume what the world has built but to build solutions for India and take them to the world. Make in India has to be taken to the next level build for India and make in India. With 1.4 billion people and a rapidly growing economy, India is a land of opportunities, and the youth have a very important role to play in building for the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. The youth today should not chase a job but instead chase a problem. There are problems all around us and every problem presents an opportunity to find a solution and create value for yourself, society, the country and the world.”
He urged the graduates to develop the ability to identify problems and convert them into products, enterprises, applications and technology-driven solutions for farmers, villages and businesses.
Pramod Marar, MD & CEO, Satin Finserv Limited said, “As you step out of the university and into the real world, one of the most important things you will carry with you is not just what you have learnt, but how you engage with people. In my experience of more than 25 years in the corporate world, I have learnt that people engagement ultimately makes a real difference. You will work with people with different personalities, perspectives and expectations, so be authentic, manage your emotions, respect others’ views and have the courage to question the status quo. You cannot fake yourself for long, so remain true to who you are. I would also encourage you to dream big and, more importantly, put yourself in a position to turn those dreams into reality. I see that spirit of openness at Chandigarh University as well—the openness to feedback, to different perspectives and to continuous learning—which will serve students well as they move forward.”

As computer science graduates, the specialised skills you have acquired will become increasingly relevant as you progress in your careers. You should remain a lifelong learner.
