BL Santosh reacts strongly on Lawyer’s Association for Constitution' action of formation of Commission of Ex Judges to look into SIR issue

New Delhi, October 3, 2026: In a surprising development an independent five-member commission of former Supreme Court and High Court judges has been constituted by the Lawyers’ Association for Constitution (LAFC) to examine the constitutional and statutory validity, methodology and impact of the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh has reacted strongly to the development and said that these were Self appointed custodians about whose interests , view points , activism the country is well aware off .
The commission will be chaired by former Supreme Court judge Justice Madan B Lokur and will comprise former SC judge Justice AK Patnaik, former J&K High Court Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, and former High Court judges Justices Rekha Sharma and Anjana Prakash
