45 trains cancelled in anticipation of CJP protest in Delhi on Oct 10
Ferozepur October 9, 2026: The Railways has ordered the cancellation of trains in anticipation that massive crowds will surround the stations, tied to a nationwide political protest called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner
To avoid massive crowds near railway stations, Indian Railways has cancelled all Mail and Express trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi (NDLS) and Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM) between 4:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (October 10, 2026).
In view of a planned protest and traffic advisory in Central Delhi on October 10, the Railways have cancelled 45 trains arriving at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Tilak Bridge stations. The cancellations will affect trains scheduled to operate on October 9, 10 and 11.
The cancelled trains include services arriving from Amritsar, Kalka, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Banaras, Jabalpur, Indore, Mumbai, Howrah, Sealdah, Ranchi, Udaipur City and Shri Ganganagar, among other destinations. Several services connecting New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin with different parts of the country have also been affected.
The cancellations have been announced in view of the planned protest and traffic restrictions in Central Delhi between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10. Passengers are advised to check their train status before commencing their journey.
