UGC extends deadline for ODL, Online Program applications

New Delhi, November 11, 2025: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the last date for submission of applications from eligible Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes.
The deadline, earlier set for November 10, 2025, has now been extended to November 17, 2025. This extension applies to the recognition of programmes for the academic year 2025–26, with academic sessions commencing February 2026 and onwards.
The UGC has urged all eligible institutions to make use of this extended timeline to complete their submissions in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
