Mohali (Punjab), March 17, 2026: In a move aimed at redefining management education through real-world exposure, CGC University Mohali has launched its innovative “MBA Plus” Leadership Programme.
The industry-integrated initiative was unveiled at a grand event held at Pride Plaza Hotel, attended by prominent industry leaders and academic experts.
The mentorship-driven programme is designed to combine classroom learning with hands-on corporate experience. It was led by the institution’s Founder Chancellor, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, along with Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal, Executive Vice President Dr. Sushil Prashar, and Govind Negi. HR Success Talk is serving as the industry partner for the programme.
A key highlight of the “MBA Plus” programme is its structured mentorship model, where each industry expert will guide a group of 15 students per semester.
Over the course of the two-year programme, students will receive mentorship from four different industry leaders, enabling them to gain diverse insights into business operations and leadership.
The programme also features an Executive Mentorship Council, which will engage students in boardroom discussions, strategic simulations, and case study analyses.
Participants will work on real business challenges across domains such as market expansion, technology transformation, financial analysis, and operational improvements.
Additionally, the curriculum incorporates long-term internships, consulting assignments, and industry projects to ensure that students build strong corporate connections even before completing their degrees.
Speaking at the launch, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal emphasized that the goal of higher education is not just to impart knowledge but to nurture thoughtful and responsible leaders.
Arsh Dhaliwal highlighted the need for management education models that closely reflect real organizational functioning and leadership decision-making. Dr. Sushil Prashar described the programme as a holistic blend of academic learning and industry exposure, while Govind Negi underscored the importance of strong industry collaboration.
With the introduction of “MBA Plus,” CGC University Mohali has taken a significant step towards strengthening the link between academic learning and industry experience, setting a new benchmark in management education.
