Voter camps on Sept 6 to focus on youth, first-time voters
Ferozepur, September 5, 2026: Special voter service camps will be organised at all polling booths of Assembly Constituency 78-Guruharsahai on September 6 (Sunday) from 10 am to 4 pm as part of the Special Intensive Revision-2026, under the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.
The camps are being organised under the guidance of the Electoral Registration Officer-cum-SDM, Guruharsahai, Hardeep Singh,with the objective of providing electoral services to voters at their respective polling booths.
Giving details, Hardeep Singh said special emphasis would be laid on registering eligible young citizens, particularly those in the 18-19 age group, and first-time voters in the electoral rolls. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling stations throughout the camps to assist citizens.
Applications and claims and objections relating to Form-6, Form-6B, Form-7 and Form-8 will be received during the camps. Special attention will also be given to voter-related services for persons with disabilities.
Superintendent Kewal Krishan is overseeing the administrative and organisational arrangements for the camps. SVEEP Coordinator Parvinder Singh is undertaking extensive publicity and social media outreach to ensure that information about the camps reaches maximum people. The Election Cell team is coordinating with BLOs to ensure smooth conduct of the camps.
The election administration has appealed to all eligible citizens of the constituency, especially young and first-time voters, to visit their respective polling booths on September 6 and make maximum use of the special camps to avail themselves of voter services and ensure their active participation in the democratic process.
