Breaking: Majithia gets interim bail from Amritsar Court

Amritsar (Punjab), June 15, 2026: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia was granted interim bail by an Amritsar court on Monday in connection with a case registered against him and more than 50 Akali Dal supporters.
The case pertains to allegations that Majithia and several party workers entered the Majitha police station, tore official documents, and obstructed government functioning. During earlier proceedings, the court had sought CCTV footage from the police to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.
Following arguments from both the prosecution and the defence, the court granted interim relief to Majithia.
