MLA Kulwant Singh kickstarts construction of village Phirni of Ballomajra
Exhorts Newly Elected Sarpanchs to make strenuous efforts for overall development and root out the scourge of drugs from Punjab

SAS Nagar (Punjab), November 21, 2024: Exhorting the newly elected especially young Sarpanchs to make all-out efforts for the holistic development of their respective villages, MLA Kulwant Singh also appealed to them to make their villages drug-free by working hard to eliminate this menace.
Kickstarting the construction work of Phirni (the outer road of the village), the MLA said that most of the Gram Panchayat candidates though opted out of no party symbol but supported the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Therefore, the newly elected Gram Panchayats have a zeal for transforming their villages into a model village, said the MLA adding that the enthusiasm of these Panchayats is welcomed and they would always be supported in their good efforts to facilitate villagers.
Detailing about today’s project initiated here, he said that a one-kilometer long and about 11-foot wide outer road (Phirni) will cost Rs 28 lakh.
Strong paver blocks/interlocking tiles having thicknesses of 60 mm will be laid on the road under construction and the work will be conducted within a stipulated timeline of two months.
He appealed to the Gram Panchayats not to compromise with the quality and specifications of the material being used in various development works today or tomorrow to ensure the commitment towards their residents.
On this occasion, Gurjinder Singh Sarpanch, Jasvir Kaur, Surjan Singh, Harinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh (all members of the Panchayat), Baljit Singh Numberdar, Manjit Singh, Balvir Singh Sarpanch Raipur, Kulvir Singh Sarpanch Bariali, Kuldeep Singh Samana, Dr. Kuldeep Singh and other prominent persons were also present.
