**Islamabad, November 22, 2024:** The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has unveiled a special Rs. 55 coin to commemorate the 555th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the revered founder of Sikhism. This initiative underscores Pakistan’s commitment to honoring religious figures and fostering interfaith harmony.

**Obverse Design**
The obverse features a crescent moon and a five-pointed star, with the Urdu inscription "ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN" along the edge. Below the crescent, the year "2024" is displayed, flanked by two upward-curving wheat sprigs. The coin's face value, "55," is prominently shown alongside "RUPIA" in Urdu script.
**Reverse Design**
The reverse showcases an artistic depiction of the Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji monument. The inscription “555th Birthday Celebrations” appears above, while “SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI” is engraved at the bottom. The years “1469–2024” encircle the design, symbolizing Guru Nanak’s enduring legacy.
