Nabha jailbreak mastermind Romi lands in custody of Punjab Police; to be brought back from Hong Kong

Raman Jeet Singh alias Romi, mastermind of Nabha jail break, is being brought to India from Hong Kong. He is being brought to India as part of an operation conducted by the security agencies of the Punjab Police at the Delhi Airport at 4 pm today. He was a fugitive in the Nabha jailbreak case.
Romi is also suspected to be involved in the murders in Jalandhar and Ludhiana in 2016-17. According to Punjab Police, he was in touch with gangster Gurpreet Singh Sheikho. Gurpreet was one of the six persons who escaped from Nabha Jail in November 2016 and was the main conspirator in the case.
Police believe that Romi had provided money to those who escaped from the jail. Along with this, the entire conspiracy to break the jail was hatched from Hong Kong. It may be mentioned that Romi had hatched the entire conspiracy of the Nabha jail break incident while sitting abroad and after this incident many questions were raised about the security of the jail.
This incident took place on November 27, 2016 when six prisoners escaped from Nabha Jail in Patiala. They included two terrorists and four notorious gangsters. The whole outline of this incident was prepared by the said gangster Romi while sitting abroad.

On 27 November 2016, six prisoners, including two terrorists and four notorious gangsters, escaped from Nabha Jail in Patiala. Khalistani Liberation Force chief Harminder Singh Mintu, who escaped during the jail break, was arrested by the police within a few hours. The main accused involved in this case, gangster Vicky Gounder, was killed in a police encounter.
