Chandigarh, January 15: With the documents going public through British Liberal MP Tom Watson, proving that Special Air Service (SAS) of United Kingdom was involved in planning the invasion of Golden Temple in 1984, All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) announced to hold a â€œRallyâ€ outside British High Commissionerâ€™s office on January 17 in New Delhi. The aim of the Rally is to demand that British Parliament should immediately pass a â€œResolution that action of PM Thatcher of colluding with Indira Gandhi to attack the holiest Sikh shrine was wrongâ€. A memorandum will be handed to Sir James David Bevan KCMG, British High Commissioner to India, demanding that present UK government takes full responsibility of the actions of PM Thatcher and pass a resolution condemning the role of PM Thatcher. According to Federation President Karnail Singh Peermohammad, British ruled the world with the help of Sikh army for one century and we lost more than hundred thousand lives doing so, and thatâ€™s how PM Thatcher returned the loyalty to the Sikh community by organizing attack on Golden Temple? The participation by PM Thatcher in planning attack on Golden Temple with Indira Gandhi, makes British PM equally responsible and guilty of crimes against Sikhs committed during army invasion of Sikh shrine. We demand that British parliament should pass a resolution, stating that actions of PM Thatcher of planning attacks on Golden Temple was wrong, added Peermohammad. Indira Gandhi ordered the military invasion of Golden Temple in 1984 to suppress the demands of Sikh sovereignty, resulting in the death of more than ten thousand innocent pilgrims who were in attendance to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Arjun Devji.
