Punjab Government fulfils promise of Monthly Financial Aid to Women under ‘Maa-Dhiyan Da Satkar’ Scheme: Harjinder Ghagga
Ferozepur, March 11, 2026: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has fulfilled its pre-election promise of providing monthly financial assistance to women under the ‘Maa-Dhiyan Da Satkar’ scheme, said Harjinder Singh Ghagga, District President of the Aam Aadmi Party and Chairman of the District Planning Board, during a press conference.
Addressing the media, Ghagga said that before coming to power, the state government had assured that women in Punjab would receive financial assistance every month. He stated that the government has now fulfilled this commitment. Under the scheme, Scheduled Caste (SC) women will receive ₹1500 per month, while women from other categories will be given ₹1000 per month.
He further said that promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party are not merely election claims but guarantees that the party is committed to fulfilling them. According to him, women across Punjab are happy with the implementation of the scheme, which will significantly promote women empowerment.
Ghagga added that the government has honored its commitment, and the decision has been widely welcomed. The scheme has brought a wave of happiness among women, he said.
On the occasion, District Media Secretary Gurjit Bhullar, District Secretary of the Women Wing Rupinder Kaur, Constituency Coordinator of the Women Wing Urmila Gulati, Charan Kaur, Kirna Rani, Hans Raj, Master Garibu Singh, Joginder Singh and several others were also present.
