Students bring Gandhi’s message alive through creative activities
Ferozepur, October 2, 2026: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, students of Vivekananda World School, Ferozepur, brought Gandhiji’s thoughts and life values to life through a series of creative activities. The various activities organised on the school campus made a meaningful effort to connect students with values such as truth, non-violence, cleanliness, self-reliance and service.
The programme began with the little students of the Playgroup portraying Mahatma Gandhi. The young performers presented Gandhiji’s teachings through simple and effective enactments, winning the hearts of everyone present.
Students enthusiastically participated in poster-making, charkha-making, activities based on Gandhiji’s three monkeys and their message — “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil” — as well as a cleanliness awareness campaign. Through colours, creativity and engaging activities, the students expressed Gandhiji’s messages of Swadeshi, self-reliance and cleanliness.
Meanwhile, a thought-provoking debate on the topic, “Are Gandhiji’s Ideas Still Relevant Today?” was organised for students of Classes XI and XII.
Along with this, through the ‘One Good Deed Initiative’, students were encouraged to help someone around them or perform a positive act. The initiative conveyed the importance of putting the values of service, sensitivity and social responsibility into practice.
School Director Dr. S. N. Rudra said, “Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas are not merely a part of history, but values that can make life better. When students understand these values through activities and their own behaviour, their true impact becomes visible.
