Kunwar Vijay Pratap gets license for practicing law, coopted as member of important panel of Bar Council on 1st day
Chandigarh, April 23, 2021: IPS Officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh who recently resigned from the post of Inspector General of Police, has now taken up a new role of a lawyer.
On Friday, the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana gave Kunwar Vijay Pratap license for practicing law. He was handed over the license in the presence of the council secretary and other members.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap who is a law graduate has recently applied for the license.
Other than giving him the license for practising law, the Bar Council also made him Co-opted Member of its Disciplinary Committee.
The officer had resigned from the position of Inspector General of Police, Punjab, in the wake of Punjab and Haryana High Court quashing SIT on Kotkapura firing case. Kunwar Vijay Pratap was the member of the SIT.
The high court has further asked the Punjab government to form a new SIT without Kunwar Vijay Pratap.
