Edu deptt to honor 29 outstanding teachers in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 5, 2024: National Teachers’ Day, celebrated annually on September 5th in India, marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the country’s first Vice President and second President. This day is dedicated to honouring the invaluable contributions of teachers.
In Ferozepur, a special ceremony will be held on September 6th to recognize 29 outstanding teachers from the district. The event will be led by District Education Officer Mrs. Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh, a National Awardee. Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman will be the chief guest, presenting the awards.
Umesh Kumar, a State Awardee and Headmaster, who is the program’s nodal in-charge, explained that two exemplary teachers from each block were selected by the Block Nodal Officers (BNOs) for their remarkable contributions to education. Additionally, two Principals and two Headmasters will be honoured for their special contributions by the district administration.
These awards celebrate the dedication and achievements of teachers who have gone above and beyond to ensure a bright future for their students, setting a high standard in education.
