Meeting with SC-appointed committee inconclusive, farmers to continue protest at Shambhu and Khanauri borders

Chandigarh, November 4, 2024: Farmers under Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) to continue protest at Shambhu and Khanauri borders as the meeting of farmers with the Supreme Court-appointed committee remained inconclusive. The meeting between farmer leaders and Supreme Court-appointed committee was held at Haryana Niwas today.
"We are still firm on the decision of 13 February. The committee has listened to us and we hope a solution will be found. Soon a meeting of SKM will be called and the future strategy will be decided," told the farmer leader.
The farmer union further informed that farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dhallewal will sit on hunger strike from the first day of the Parliament session.
"We want to go to Delhi via Haryana and get our demands accepted from the Centre. Our movement will continue regarding 13 demands," told farmers.
Following kisan leaders were present in the meeting with a five-member committee led by retired justice Nawab Singh.
