Chandigarh, November 4, 2024- Haryana Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forests and Wildlife Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that the present government aims at including Gurugram among India's top 10 cities.
During the meeting, several crucial points related to the Municipal Corporation, HSIIDC, HSVP and the Pollution Control Board were discussed.
The Minister while chairing a review meeting with the officers of the Municipal Corporation of Manesar and Gurugram today directed them to ensure high-quality construction at minimal cost.He further directed the officers to ensure making the city was encroachment and polythene-free.
Rao Narbir Singh directed the officers to issue challans to shopkeepers and vendors using polythene and also ensure action against the suppliers of such polythene.
He said that the officers of the Municipal Corporation and HSIIDC should identify encroachments in their respective jurisdictions. Encroachments should be removed with the help of the police department and if any encroachments are found after this, action will be taken against the concerned officers.
Meanwhile, after taking detailed information about various issues related to the Municipal Corporation of Manesar from Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg, Rao Narbir Singh assured that the renovation of the corporation office as well would be done.
Directing the engineering officers, the Minister emphasised on high-quality construction at minimal cost.
He directed the officers, especially those in the engineering wing, to spend more time in the field to be aware of the issues of the people in the municipal area. The meeting also discussed the sanitation system in the municipal area in detail.
Ensure inspection of STPs in the society of the corporation area, directs Minister.During the meeting, it was informed that the STP water from various societies in the municipal area is being discharged openly at various places without treatment through tankers.
Responding to this, the Minister said that such persons should be identified and strict action should be taken against them as per the rules. Along with this, the functioning of all STPs established in the societies of the municipal area should also be checked to see if they are working properly.
He also directed the officers concerned to ensure that the common people do not face any issues regarding the property ID. Similarly, to assess the traffic jam situation at Rampura Chowk on the National Highway and build slip roads on both sides there.
Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Manesar, Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg, Additional Commissioner, Sh. Jitender Kumar, SE, Sh. Vijay Dhaka along with other officers and employees remained present during the meeting.
