No shortage of DAP fertilizer in Haryana, farmers need not panic: Minister Shyam Singh Rana
Instructions were also given to the officials to take stock of the availability of urea fertilizer

Chandigarh, November 4, 2024 - Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana today chaired a review meeting of officials regarding the availability of DAP fertilizer in the state.
After this, he assured the farmers that there is no shortage of DAP in the state and there is no need to panic. He said that the government is committed to providing adequate DAP to the farmers.
After the meeting, Shyam Singh Rana informed that the State Government has been informed by the Ministry that while the total consumption of DAP in the Rabi season of October 2023 was 1,19,470 metric tonnes, this year in October 2024 this consumption has been recorded at 1,14,000 metric tonnes.
At present, a stock of 24,000 metric tonnes of DAP is available in the state and a rake plan has been prepared to ensure the supply of DAP to the farmers every day.
In the Rabi season of 2023, the consumption of DAP in the month of November was 72,697 metric tonnes. Due to the efforts of the state government, this time the Center has allocated 1,10,000 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer for November.
Under this, the supply of 41,600 metric tonnes of DAP in the first week of November, 40,000 metric tonnes in the second week and 20,000 metric tonnes in the third week will be ensured by rake.
The officials informed the minister that a rake plan has been made for the supply of DAP fertilizer in various districts. Under this, rakes have reached Bhiwani, Dadri, Rohtak, Mahendragarh, Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra and Jind on November 3 and Hisar, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra, Jhajjar, Sonipat and Rohtak on November 4. Now tomorrow, on November 5, DAP rakes will reach Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Palwal, Tohana and Sirsa, on November 6, Khori and Sirsa, on November 7, Kaithal and Kurukshetra, on November 8, Bhattu, Tohana, Sirsa and Dhulkot, on November 9, Bhattu, Tohana and Hisar, on November 10, Bhiwani, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Jind and on November 11, DAP rakes will reach Gohana and Jind.
The Agriculture Minister has assured the farmers that necessary steps are being taken to ensure the supply of DAP as per the demand. The minister also directed the officials to take stock of the availability of urea fertilizer.

Apart from this, the minister appealed to the farmers to use stubble as fertilizer and avoid burning it. Because burning stubble reduces the fertility of the land, while mixing it in the soil increases the power.
