BSF enhances community welfare with Civic Action Programmes in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 23, 2025: BSF organized two Civic Action programmes in district Ferozepur today, reaffirming its commitment to community development and welfare.
The first programme was held at Government Primary/Middle School Kilche, where Sh. Avtar Singh, Headmaster of Middle School Kilche, and Sh. Karamjit Singh, Headmaster of Primary School Kilche, participated along with staff members, Sarpanchs of surrounding villages, 54 middle school students, and 45 primary school students. The event featured the distribution of stationery, sports items, and track suits to the students and villagers.
The second programme was a volleyball tournament organized at village Ghora Chak, where teams from village L S Wala and Mattar Hithar competed in the final match. The event was attended by the Sarpanch of border villages, local residents, and BSF troops. The team from L S Wala village emerged victorious, while Mattar Hithar village secured the runner-up position. Commandant 182 BN distributed track suits to the players of both teams to boost morale.
Under the Civic Action Programme, open gym and sports equipment were also distributed to the youth of border villages, including Gora Chak, Mastagatti, L S Wala, H S Wala, and Rao Ke Hithar. Additionally, certificates were awarded to participants of the cycle rally, organized on 23 November 2024, with 12 cyclists from Village Gatti Mattar receiving recognition from the Chief Guest.
These initiatives demonstrate the BSF's dedication to promoting community welfare and development in district Ferozepur.
