Sagar Setia assumes charge as Deputy Commissioner Moga
- Says, priority will be given to implementing the government's priority schemes at the grassroots level
Moga, February 28, 2025: Sagar Setia, a 2017-batch IAS officer, assumed office as the Deputy Commissioner of Moga district today. Earlier, he was posted as Additional Secretary, Higher Education and Language Departments. Apart from this, he has also served as Additional Deputy Commissioner in various districts.
While talking to the media, he said that his priority will be to take the government's priority schemes to the grassroots level and ensure that every eligible person gets the benefit of these schemes. Transparency, continuity, and speed will be brought into government works and functions, and better administrative services will be provided to the residents of Moga district.
He said that by following the strict orders of the Punjab government, every drug-related activity in Moga district will be curbed. Similarly, Moga district will be made corruption-free with the cooperation of the people.
He also appealed to the residents of the district to cooperate with the district administration in the development of Moga district and other works.
On assuming charge, he held a meeting with the district officials and instructed them to perform their duties with dedication. He said that public services should be provided within the stipulated time frame. Work should be done free from all kinds of pressure.
Earlier, he was given a guard of honor by the Moga police. On this occasion, Mrs. Charumita, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G), Sarangpreet Singh Aujla, SDM Moga, Hiteshvar Gupta Assistant Commissioner (G), and other officials were also present.
