Chandigarh, March 3, 2025: In a groundbreaking initiative to support deported Indian nationals, especially Punjabis returning from the United States, Lohit Bansal, Managing Director of PLPB, has launched ‘Make in Punjab United’—a movement dedicated to employment generation, business funding, and skill development.
Bansal took to LinkedIn and Instagram to announce this initiative, emphasizing the need for Punjab to foster self-reliance and innovation. Sharing his vision, he stated:
“Our people left Punjab with big dreams, but circumstances brought them back. Let’s stand together, innovate, and create new opportunities right here in Punjab. The dreams have been interrupted, but not lost.”
Recognizing the struggles of deportees, he is offering direct support through three key initiatives:
- Employment Assistance – Helping deportees secure jobs that align with their skills and market demand.
- Business & Financial Support – Providing mentorship and seed funding of up to ₹5 lakhs for those looking to start their own businesses.
- Skill Development – Offering industry-relevant training, certification programs, and career guidance to enhance employability.
Bansal has also urged Punjab’s industries and stakeholders to join this mission and provide opportunities to returnees. To ensure accessibility, he has shared his direct email (lohitbansal1204@gmail.com) for those needing support.
Through ‘Make in Punjab United,’ the aim is to transform challenges into opportunities, ensuring that talent remains in Punjab and contributes to its economic growth.
