Seminar on Water Conservation in modern world held at DSCW
Ferozepur, March 18, 2025: As part of the Environmental Education Program under the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, the Biology and Eco Club in Dev Samaj College for Women, organized a seminar on Water Conservation in the Modern World on March 17, 2025. The event welcomed Dr. Mokshi as the resource person and Dr. Satinder Singh, Deputy District Education Officer, Ferozepur, who was received by Principal Dr. Sangeeta, faculty members, and students.
Dr. Sangeeta also extended a warm welcome to Kamaljeet Kaur, an alumna of the college and a financial advisor from British Columbia, Canada.
During the session, Dr. Satinder Singh emphasized the growing water crisis and the urgent need for sustainable resource management through techniques like rainwater harvesting, efficient irrigation, and responsible water usage.
Kamaljeet Kaur highlighted the global water challenges despite the availability of freshwater resources, stressing the importance of prioritizing water conservation through improved infrastructure and efficient water use in households and agriculture.
The lecture provided valuable insights to students, broadening their understanding of water conservation in the modern world.
