Punjab Sikhiya Kranti: On first day, Jalandhar witness inauguration at 35 schools for Rs 2.32 crore
Jalandhar, April 7, 2025: To create a new history in the field of education in the state, under the Punjab Sikhiya Kranti program, Minister and MLAs inaugurated modern facilities in government schools across Jalandhar district today. On the very first day of this campaign, facilities built at a cost of approximately Rs 2.32 crore were inaugurated in about 35 schools.
Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, MLA Balkar Singh, MLA Raman Arora, and MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann inaugurated various projects under the Punjab Sikhiya Kranti in their respective constituencies. These projects included new classrooms, toilets, boundary walls, cluster rooms, and several other developments.
Addressing the inaugural ceremonies, Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is setting new benchmarks in the field of education, and in the coming days, various projects will continue to be inaugurated in government schools under this Punjab Sikhiya Kranti campaign.
He said that these modernization projects will provide government schools with an edge like private schools in terms of infrastructure and education.
During this occasion, parents also appreciated this mission of the Punjab Government and said that the kind of facilities now being provided in government schools were never ever available before.
