Shimla (Haryana), April 15, 2025: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has come out strongly in support of Punjab Leader of Opposition Shri Pratap Singh Bajwa, condemning what he termed as a “deliberate attempt to throttle the voice of the Opposition” by the Punjab Government.
In a strongly worded statement, Agnihotri said, “The harassment of Shri Pratap Singh Bajwa is not just political vendetta — it’s an attack on democracy itself.”
He highlighted the Bajwa family’s contributions to the nation, noting that they had suffered personally due to terrorism and that Bajwa himself is a survivor of such violence.
“No one can question the integrity or patriotism of the Bajwa family,” Agnihotri asserted, adding, “We stand firmly with Shri Bajwa, and the caravan of democracy will continue to move forward despite these challenges.”
