Students explore sustainable farming on Educational Tour to “Organic Farm”
Ferozepur, April 15 2025: One-day educational tour for the meritorious students of the academic session 2024-25 of Vivekananda World School, was organize. Under this initiative, the first, second, and third position holders from classes 1 to 11 were taken to the Sohangarh Organic Agriculture Farm.
The purpose of this educational trip was to provide students with first-hand knowledge of organic farming, environmental conservation, and the concept of sustainable development.
During the tour, the students observed techniques like organic composting, natural pest control, water conservation, mulching, and chemical-free crop production. Experts at the farm provided valuable insights into the science and innovations behind organic farming. The students also actively participated in seed planting and compost preparation, gaining practical experience.
Director, Dr. S. N. Rudra, stated, “Such educational tours are crucial for the holistic development of students. They not only link theoretical knowledge with practical application but also nurture sensitivity towards nature and the environment.”
Principal, Tajinder Pal Kaur, added, “Our goal is to ensure students excel not only academically but also embrace life values, self-reliance, and social responsibility. The Sohangarh visit was truly an inspiring experience for them.”
This educational trip broadened the students’ horizons and inspired them to adopt a nature-friendly lifestyle. The school plans to continue organizing such educational activities in the future.
