Governors of Punjab and HP honour exemplary leaders at ATHARV BHARAT-2025

Chandigarh, April 25, 2025: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presented the National Excellence Awards at the prestigious Summit India’s ATHARV BHARAT-2025 held at the Hotel JW Marriott, Sector 35 on Friday.
This landmark event set new standards for national recognition by honouring distinguished individuals and organizations driving impactful change across education, public service, and social development.
A significant highlight of the summit was the official launch of Shiksha Bhavishyayaan and IAS Sathi, two forward-looking initiatives committed to transforming India’s educational landscape through innovation, mentorship, and digital access.
The keynote addresses delivered by the Governors highlighted the pivotal role of inclusive leadership and visionary action in shaping a stronger and self-reliant India.
In his address, His Excellency, Gulab Chand Kataria said, “True national development is rooted in the empowerment of individuals through education, ethics and empathy. Recognizing and encouraging such excellence is not just a celebration of achievements, but a commitment to nurturing the future of our nation. Those who were awarded during the occasion include Maj Gen Jagjit Singh Nanda (Retd), RK Pachnanda (Retd IPS), Educationalist Manu Raj Malhotra, Saadgi Malhotra, IT expert Dr. Kirti Dhingra and retired chief engineer Rajat Bhattacharya were amongst 45 recipients.
The event drew a galaxy of dignitaries including Justice Lokpal Singh, Chief Coordinating Officer of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education -Dr. Buddha Chandrashekha and others.
