Railways Collects ₹3.21 Crore in Ferozepur Division during Summer Ticket Drive
Ferozepur, May 22, 2025: Ferozepur Division of the Indian Railways has collected over ₹3.21 crore in revenue from more than 47,000 passengers during a month-long special summer ticket checking drive. The initiative, which ran from April 22 to May 21, 2025, aimed to curb ticketless and irregular travel.
Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Sanjay Sahu, and led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Paramdeep Singh Saini, the campaign was conducted across various sections of the Firozpur Division. This included key routes such as Jalandhar-Amritsar, Firozpur-Bathinda, Ludhiana-Pathankot Cantt, Ludhiana-Jalandhar Cantt, and Firozpur-Ludhiana.
Teams of officers and supervisors carried out daily surprise checks on numerous trains, including the Ganga Sutlej Express, Firozpur-Patna Summer Special, Malwa Superfast Express, Amrapali Express, Amritsar Howrah Mail, Begampura Express, Saharsa Garib Rath Express, Jammu Tawi Express, and Sachkhand Express. The drive not only focused on preventing unauthorized and ticketless travel but also helped manage additional crowds on trains.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini commended the dedicated efforts and planning of the ticket checking staff. He urged railway passengers to always travel with a valid ticket and in the appropriate coach category to avoid inconveniencing other passengers.
