Utsav Bains awarded Times Business Award 2025 for excellence in field of Law

New Delhi, June 1, 2025: Bains is serving as the Special Public Prosecutor for NCB at Delhi High Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court, and is also counsel for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) before the Apex Court and also for the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) for the Delhi High Court and Chandigarh Housing Board for Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Bains has gained recognition for representing victims in high-profile anti-terror cases.
His notable cases include the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, the 1993 Bombay Bomb Blast, the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, and the case involving Bitta Karate, accused of the murders of Kashmiri Pandits. Bains, an alumnus of Panjab University, hails from a distinguished legal family.
He is the grandson of the late Justice Ajit Singh Bains of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the son of senior advocate and renowned criminal lawyer, Rajvinder Singh Bains.
He was visiting researcher at Harvard Law School in 2013-14.
