Chandigarh, July 11, 2025: Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar launched a scathing counterattack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his recent comments targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing the AAP leader of abandoning all political decorum.
In a sharp post shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Jakhar wrote:
“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Ji, the kind of language you are using for the country's honorable Prime Minister and Home Minister is proof that you have forgotten all decorum.”
Using metaphorical language, the BJP chief further warned Mann of political consequences, stating:
“But who knows better than you that when a person’s shadow starts becoming larger than their stature, it means the sun is about to set. And when a person’s tongue starts exceeding their status, it means the time for that person’s downfall has arrived.”
Jakhar’s remarks come in response to Mann’s repeated criticism of the Prime Minister’s foreign visits and the Centre’s approach to governance.
