Ferozepur's 35 rural women placed in jobs after training under DDU-GKY scheme

Ferozepur, July 24, 2025: In a significant step towards empowering rural women with skills and employment, 35 female candidates trained under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) have secured jobs at the Flipkart Warehouse in Farrukhnagar, District Gurugram, Haryana. Dr. Nidhi Kumud shared this information, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Ferozepur.
These candidates received skill training for the role of Warehouse Associates through Swami Pragyanand Educational and Welfare Society. After completing the training, they were sent to Gurugram for placement. A farewell and felicitation ceremony was held on the occasion, during which Dr. Nidhi Kumud and Harjinder Singh, District Development and Panchayat Officer, Ferozepur, extended their best wishes for the candidates’ bright future.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nidhi Kumud emphasised that women’s participation in the workforce is crucial for their economic self-reliance. She appreciated the initiative, calling it a meaningful effort for the bright future of rural girls.
Harjinder Singh also encouraged the candidates to work with dedication and become role models in their villages. He noted that this initiative reflects a strong commitment to connecting rural youth with employment opportunities through industry partnerships and technical education.
