Ferozepur, August 6, 2025: A special inspection campaign was launched by the District Education Officer (Secondary), Ferozepur, Munila Arora, along with Deputy DEO Dr. Satinder Singh. As part of this drive, six principal-level teams conducted surprise inspections at 36 selected government schools across Guru Har Sahai-1, Guru Har Sahai-2, and Mamdot blocks.
The aim of the inspections was to assess academic performance, school management, and compliance with departmental guidelines. Teams checked teacher and student attendance, cleanliness, curriculum progress, drinking water availability, and toilet conditions. They also reviewed ongoing repair and construction work.
Munila Arora instructed that all infrastructure work be completed promptly and to standard. Unsafe rooms were to be reported immediately and no classes are to be held in such spaces.
The teams also evaluated the academic understanding of students through test processes and reviewed the quality and testing of mid-day meals. It was emphasized that daily food testing must be recorded, and hygiene around the kitchen areas should be maintained.
Teachers were instructed to maintain daily curriculum reports and regularly update teacher diaries. Teams also interacted with students to understand their academic needs and challenges.
Following the inspections, a meeting was held at PM-SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Guru Har Sahai, where principals including Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Rajinder Kumar, Sanjeev Tandon, and Harphool Singh shared inspection findings with all school heads.
Munila Arora discussed both shortcomings and best practices, encouraging schools to adopt effective methods. She urged heads to fulfill responsibilities with dedication and maintain a student-centered learning approach.
