VWS hosts Astro Carnival in collaboration with Space India to inspire young minds
Ferozepur, November 15, 2025: Vivekananda World School (VWS) organised an impressive Astro Carnival today in collaboration with Space India, aiming to make the study of science and space more interactive and engaging for students. Sharing detailed information,
School Director Dr. S.N. Rudra said the event was exclusively designed for VWS students to ignite scientific curiosity and encourage exploration through hands-on space-science activities.
The event began in an enthusiastic atmosphere where students had the opportunity to understand various space-related concepts and technologies through real-time demonstrations. Key attractions of the Astro Carnival included solar observation, hydro rocketry, and a planetarium show.
During the solar observation activity, students safely viewed the Sun using special solar telescopes and learned about different sola phenomena. The hydro rocketry session generated tremendous excitement as students built their own water-propelled rockets and experienced the launch process firsthand. The planetarium show took students on a virtual journey through the fascinating world of stars, constellations, and the universe—an experience they described as thrilling and highly informative.
Dr. Rudra said the purpose of the Astro Carnival was to offer students a real scientific experience beyond the classroom, motivating them to pursue interest in these fields in the future. The event saw students actively engaging with curiosity, enthusiasm, and joy.
VWS announced that similar educational initiatives will continue in the future to foster positive thinking towards science, technology, and innovation. The school expressed gratitude to all students, teachers, and the Space India team for making the event a success.
