Tarn Taran (Punjab), January 11, 2026: In a tragic incident, three members of the same family lost their lives due to suffocation while sleeping at their home in Alipur village of Tarn Taran district.
According to information, the family had lit a fire inside the room to protect themselves from the intense cold during the night. However, poisonous gas emitted from the fire filled the room, and the occupants, who were asleep, failed to sense the danger. As a result, three people died on the spot due to suffocation.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village. Meanwhile, a 10-year-old child, who was also present in the room, was rescued in a critical condition and has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
