21 Contractual PSEB employees regularised; Minister Harjot Singh Bains hands over certificates

Chandigarh, January 12, 2026: Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday handed over regularisation certificates to 21 contractual employees working with the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), marking a step towards providing job security to long-serving staff.
The employees regularised under the state government’s Policy for Welfare of Adhoc, Contractual, Daily Wages, Work-Charged and Temporary Employees include 16 packers, two cooks, two waiters and one driver.
Congratulating the employees, Bains said the move was aimed at ensuring dignity, stability and social security for workers who have been serving the system for years in temporary capacities.
He said the regularisation would bring relief to the employees and their families by granting them access to regular PSEB service benefits.
The Education Minister added that the decision reflects the state government’s commitment to addressing long-pending issues of contractual staff and improving their working conditions.
Punjab School Education Board Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh and other senior officials were present during the certificate distribution ceremony.
