217 govt schools’ girls get track suits, sports shoes under ‘Future on Track’ campaign with IRFC support
Ferozepur, February 26: In a significant initiative to promote sports in government schools, 217 girl students were provided track suits and sports shoes under a special programme held at Government High School, Jhoke Hari Har, Government Senior Secondary School, Sande Hasham, and Government Senior Secondary School, Bagge Ke Pippal.
The distribution was carried out under the “Future on Track” campaign with the support of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) as part of its CSR initiative, in collaboration with Veer Indra Social Group Society. Track suits, T-shirts and sports shoes were distributed to encourage girls to actively participate in sports and adopt a healthy lifestyle, reinforcing the message of “Fit Girl, Fit India.”
District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Munila Arora and Deputy DEO (Secondary Education) Dr. Satinder Singh accompanied IRFC official Utpal Majumdar to all three schools. They motivated the students to engage in sports and maintain good health.
Utpal Majumdar stated that the primary objective of the organization is to empower and promote the health of the nation’s daughters by providing them opportunities to excel through sports.
District Education Officer Munila Arora expressed gratitude to IRFC, Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma, the Education Department, and all supporting partners. She emphasised that such initiatives would boost girls’ interest in sports and inspire them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
