Amritsar (Punjab), March 21, 2026: Reacting to the death of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation official Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Saturday levelled serious allegations against former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, claiming the officer was driven to suicide due to harassment.
Aujla said Randhawa allegedly consumed poison early Saturday morning. He claimed the incident was linked to a dispute over a tender process, alleging that Bhullar had applied for a tender in his father’s name on March 13 and later summoned the official to his residence.
According to the Congress leader, Randhawa was allegedly humiliated, assaulted, and a video of him was recorded.
He further alleged that the official was threatened with dire consequences, including harm from gangsters, which forced him to send his family members away for safety. Aujla claimed that before taking the extreme step, Randhawa released a video and then consumed a poisonous substance.
Terming the case extremely serious, the MP demanded that a case under Section 302 (murder) be registered against the minister, alleging that the official’s death was not a suicide but a result of sustained pressure and intimidation.
